Rare Genres in Contemporary Czech Comics. The exhibition presents less common comics genres, raises awareness of alternative comics, and presents Czech comics creators outside the cultural mainstream. It was curated for the LUSTR festival by illustrator Barbora Müllerová and publisher and editor-in-chief of Kuš! anthology David Schilter. LUSTR is the largest Czech festival of illustration and comics, held annually in the Prague city center at the end of September. The festival primarily focuses on art illustration, experimental and innovative approaches and overlaps of drawing into object creation, but also provides space for illustration and comics in books, periodicals and mural art.
