Czech studies researcher and literary historian. He worked at the Institute for Czech Literature of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where he founded the Department of Prose Theory and the tradition of narratological research, and headed the Department of Bohemian Studies at Palacký University in Olomouc.

Since 2014, he has been the director of the Moravian Library in Brno. He teaches at Charles University. He has published monographs on narratology and 20th-century Czech literature.

She collaborates with the Faculty of Arts of Charles University and teaches Czech as a foreign language.

Director of CzechTourism. In 2013, he established CzechTourism’s foreign office in Shanghai, China, and served as its director for four years. Later he worked for two years for the European Travel Commission (ETC) in Brussels as a marketing and project manager and specialist on China. He then returned to CzechTourism as director of marketing and foreign offices and was appointed CEO in November 2023.

From 2008 to 2025 she served as the Director of the Arts and Theatre Institute and the General Director of the world’s largest scenography exhibition, the Prague Quadrennial. She has acted and continues to act as a member of expert bodies, networks, and platforms in the Czech Republic and abroad. In addition to teaching, she is also engaged in research and consultancy in the field of cultural and creative industries. She is the author of the national profile of the Czech Republic in the Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends in Europe.

A Czech literary theorist and historian, Head of the Department of Comparative Literature at the Institute of Czech Literature and Comparative Literature, Faculty of Arts, Charles University. He deals with text interpretation, narratology, and the methodology of literary and cultural history. He is the author of nearly fifty studies, some of which have been published in English, French, German, Italian, Hungarian, Croatian, and Japanese, in addition to Czech and Slovak.

Literary researcher, historian, and comic book theorist, he works at the Institute for Czech Literature of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Together with Tomáš Prokůpek, Martin Foret, and Michal Jareš, he published A History of Czechoslovak Comics in the 20th Century and the handbook In Panels and Bubbles. Chapters from Comic Theory. Together with Lucie Kořínková, he prepared the monograph and anthology Punťa: The Forgotten Hero of Czech Comics, 1934–1942.

She works at the Department of Journalism at the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. She focuses on the history, criticism, and editing of Czech literature and is a scriptwriter for book exhibitions. She also specialises in the history and criticism of literature and illustrations for children and young adults. In recent years, she has published the collective monographs War Childhood and Youth (1938–1945) in Literature and Journalism and Do You Know Who a Lyricist Is? On Poetry for Children and the Young (Readers). Her studies have also been published in German and Japanese.

Literary critic and publishing editor. He studied Czech language and literature and comparative literature at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University and Protestant theology at the Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University, and completed postgraduate studies in anthropology at the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University. He engages in literary criticism, essay writing, journalism, and translation criticism, and also works as an editor and translator. He has published a monograph entitled Obraz druhého v českém cestopise 19. století (The Image of the Other in 19th-Century Czech Travel Writing, 2020) and a collection of poetry entitled Spády (Tendencies, 2021). In 2019, he received the Tvárnice Award for Literary Critic of the Year, presented by the biweekly literary magazine Tvar. He works as the director of the AMU Publishing House in Prague and has been the editor-in-chief of Tvar since 2023.

Historian and a Slovak studies researcher. Director of the Memorial of National Literature. From 2006 to 2014, he was Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Charles University, then worked at the National Museum until 2023. From 2014 to 2015, he was chairman of the Czech Radio Council. He focuses on 20th-century history and history in the public sphere.

He works at Karolinum Publishing House in the foreign affairs department and as deputy director. He has long been involved in non-fiction, translations of Czech literature, and foreign Czech studies.

Czech studies researcher, translator, deputy director of the Czech Centre in Berlin, responsible for the centre's cultural programme, especially in the fields of literature, film, and Czech studies. She translates contemporary prose and texts in the fields of literature, literary studies, art, and history.

Czech-French writer, translator, and curator. He studied Czech language and literature and literary studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, and at the Sorbonne in Paris. He worked at the Czech Centre in Paris, among other things as a curator and exhibition organiser, and is the composer of several piano pieces. He has translated texts by Miloš Doležal, Vladimír Holan, Bohumil Hrabal, J. H. Krchovský, Jaroslav Seifert, Richard Weiner, and others into French.

He has devoted his entire professional life to cultural management. For ten years, he held various positions at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, and as executive producer he was involved in the production of Samotáři (Loners). He also worked as marketing director for the Plzeň 2015 – European Capital of Culture project. He is currently the director of the International Book Fair and Literary Festival “Book World Prague”. He is a member of the Council of the Czech Literary Centre.

Theatrologist, dramaturge, and translator from English and French. He works as a book editor at the Institute of Arts – Theatre Institute, and also collaborates externally with the Argo publishing house as an editor and translator. He is a member of the Dramaturgical Council of the DIVADLO International Festival held in Pilsen and a doctoral student at the Institute of Translation Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.

Writer and journalist. From 2014 to 2016, he was chairman of the Association of Writers. Since 2022, he has been editor-in-chief of the literary monthly Host. His best-known works include The History of Light, for which he received the European Union Prize for Literature in 2014, and the auto-fictional work The Possibilities of a Love Story.

Publisher and the owner of the Dauphin Publishing House. Editor, book graphic designer, and publisher. He has been running his publishing house since 1994 and has published more than 500 books, mostly demanding fiction, philosophy, and poetry. Founder of the LitArt Foundation, the Publishers' Guild professional association, and the Družstevní práce association. He is a former member of the board of the Association of Czech Booksellers and Publishers and chairman of the committees for small publishers and belles-lettres. He is also the founder and main organizer of the BookFest book festivals and their derivatives – Parukářka Book, Knižní slunovrat (Book Solstice), and others.

He works at the Ministry of Industry and Trade as a Senior Ministerial Advisor on exports support. He has long been involved in supporting Czech companies on foreign markets through their participation in foreign trade fairs and exhibitions, various services to support Czech exports, and at the strategic level. He studied law, international relations, and industrial law at the Industrial Property Office.

Czech artist and illustrator, head of the Didactic Illustration Studio at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art. She focuses primarily on creating original books about history. She has received numerous awards, including several Golden Ribbons, three nominations for the Magnesia Litera Award, the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2018, and an award at the Tehran Biennial of Illustration in 1997. Between 2011 and 2013, she was nominated three times in a row by the Czech Republic for the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.

Director of the Czech-German Future Fund. After completing area studies, history and political science in Prague, Erlangen and Düsseldorf, he worked in the office of President Václav Havel, the Swiss radio DRS, and the Office for Victims of Nazism in Prague. He has worked in the non-profit organisation Living Memory, on the Supervisory Board of the German Federal EVZ Foundation, and on the advisory board of the Topographie des Terrors Foundation in Berlin.

Director of the DEPO2015 creative zone in Pilsen. He gained experience with exhibition pavilions and large cultural projects thanks to his involvement in projects such as Pilsen 2015 – European Capital of Culture, EXPO2010 – Shanghai, EXPO2017 – Astana, and EXPO2020 – Dubai.
