
Marita Kelbl (b. 1996) provides poetic, playful illustrations for children’s books, comics and original artist’s publications. She combines delicate handwriting with sensitive use of colour and an emphasis on storytelling through atmosphere and detail.
Her primary focuses are book illustration, exhibition-based projects and independent creative work. She works with publishers, institutions and cultural organizations, creating for them illustrations, visual designs and accompanying materials. In addition to her own work, she conducts workshops for children and adults and acts as an extracurricular educator for the visual arts. She is also involved in cultural and queer activism.
