
Lucie Lomová and Jaromír 99 are widely regarded as living legends among the creators of Czech comic books. They are well known to comics fans in many European countries, and their creativity shows no sign of abating. So it goes without saying that they are best placed to look back on how Czech comics have changed and grown over the past twenty-five years, and to assess these changes. Their Alois Nebel, Anna Wants to Jump, Zátopek and Savages helped determine the forms modern Czech comics would take. What has changed and what remains the same?
