What plays are being performed in the Czech Republic? Editor and translator Barbora Schnelle and publisher Matthias Naumann present the newly published anthology Am Wannenrand, featuring nine contemporary Czech plays. Jürgen Popig, co-director of Heidelberger Stückemarkt, also offers a preview of the next festival, where the Czech Republic will be the guest country. Actors from Theater & Orchester Heidelberg will perform excerpts from Trollmama by Hana D. Lehečková, about contemporary online culture; Spottschau by Tomáš Dianiška, about trans man and athlete Zdeněk Koubek, who set numerous world records as a female athlete in the interwar period; and Ausgewohnt by Tomáš Ráliš, about the current housing crisis. The authors of all three plays will be present and introduce their works. Organised by Drama Panorama e. V. in cooperation with Neofelis Verlag and Theater & Orchester Heidelberg.
