The Frankfurt Book Fair is again playing host to a Battle of the Illustrators! Czechia, the 2026 guest of honour, has entered four female illustrators against a German team. On large-format canvases, masterpieces will be created in a matter of seconds. Illustrators will draw till sparks fly from their pencils! Which team will draw the audience’s ideas quickest, and in the most original and fun ways? Audience members can add input of their own, so becoming an integral part of an exciting event. In a competition that unites nations, the journey is the destination in itself! The event is held in collaboration with the Illustratoren Organisation.
