Anna Beata Háblová and Kristina Hamplová, Czech writers whose uncompromising and critically acclaimed novels are published by Swiss houses, will read from their latest works, whose protagonists are facing up to major or minor change in their lives. These fast-moving, linguistically impressive works are different in kind yet similar in urgency of their themes, which include social inequality, climate change, and the (occasionally sick) power of storytelling. Drinks and live music will be served to accompany the literature. This event is a product of cooperation between the Moravian Library and the Swiss arts council Pro Helvetia.
