As part of the KULTÜR festival, award-winning Czech writer Kateřina Tučková will speak about memory, identity, historical milestones and the power of literature to bridge cultural differences. With reference to her own work, she will consider how stories can transcend national and linguistic boundaries and bring shared perspective to past and present. The discussion will be moderated by Rana Ayhan Tuncel and take place in English; the main points will be summarized in German for the German-speaking audience. KULTÜR brings together voices from Germany, Turkey, the broader Turkic world and other countries. It views literature as an important space for encounter and intercultural dialogue.
