Štěpánka Jislová’s comics explore themes of mental health, a person’s relationship with her own body, and the female experience. In her large-format rendering of A Girl on the Shore, she will link these with the motif of the shore as a place of constant movement and transformation. The small boats that accompany the girl may evoke a journey or a sense of detachment. The author of the acclaimed autobiographical comics Srdcovka [Heartcore] and illustrator of the comics Bez vlasů [Bald] will bring themes she has long explored to the Frankfurt wall in a new visual form. The work will be created by a combination of Wall Ink robotic printing and hand-drawn illustration.
