Prague is the capital of the creative industries in the Czech Republic. The panel brings together visual artists whose work shapes the publications presented at the fair, the visual identity of Prague’s public spaces and the Czech Pavilion at the fair.
At the fair, Prague presents itself as a city that supports original work and the development of the creative industries. Award-winning artists will showcase their work with a focus on visual art. Ivana Pecháčková will introduce her unique guidebook Meandry Prahy [Meandering through Prague - a guide to Prague for children and their parents]. Michal Bačák, winner of the 2024 Czech Grand Design award for Illustrator of the Year, will present his work for Prague City Tourism. Vladimír Strejček will showcase the portfolio of drawETC studio. Daniel Tejnický will introduce the forthcoming Stínadla se bouří [Severton in Turmoil], which uses the visual language of manga to reinterpret Jaroslav Foglar’s legendary comic series.
