The international CELA project has been bringing together emerging authors and translators from eleven European countries since 2017. It aims to present their work to wide audiences at international festivals and fairs, equip them with skills needed on the market for European literature, and make it possible for them to have their books translated. How important is it for an author to know their translator, see their books in translation, and be able to travel around Europe? Three emerging authors from the Czech Republic and Ukraine will talk about their books and themes, the importance of internationalization, and professional experience they have gained within and beyond the CELA project.
