Susa Wolfrum (b. 1992) is a bookseller and literary translator from Czech. She studied Linguistics, German as a Foreign Language (Language and Culture) and Literary Translation in Jena, Leipzig, Brno and Vienna. In 2022 she received the Susanna Roth Prize for beginner translators. In 2024 her translation of Elsa Aid’s novella Přípravy na všechno [Preparing for Everything] was published by parasitenpresse as Vorbereiten auf alles; it has been followed by other translations of poetry and prose. In 2025 Susa Wolfrum participated in the German Translation Fund’s Hieronymus Programme. She has special interests in the history of translation, the rediscovery of forgotten woman writers, and feminist perspectives in literature and translation. In addition, she composes and produces theatrical projects and audio walks. She lives in Leipzig and Vienna.
