A translator, Slavicist and teacher, she studied in St Petersburg, Brno and Odessa. She works as a teacher of Czech and Russian at the University of Greifswald. She leads and moderates translation workshops, author’s readings and bilateral cultural projects at home and abroad. She publishes professional studies in translation and linguistics as well as translations of prose, poetry, essays, drama and academic work. Authors whose work she has translated include Radek Fridrich, Radka Denemarková, Jiří Kratochvil, Tereza Boučková, Květa Legátová, Milan Ohnisko, Natalya Tolstaya, Zbyněk Fišer and Marek Toman.
