
Lucie Hášová Truhelková (b. 1982) is a graduate in Journalism. After her studies, she spent fifteen years working for print magazines, with a primary focus on interviews, culture and medicine. Since 2018, she has worked for the Albatros publishing house as an editor. Her first book appeared in 2005, when she and several classmates published interviews with survivors of World War II under the title Kniha živých [The Book of the Living]. Now working solo, she followed this with Rozhovory o matkách a mateřství [Conversations About Mothers and Motherhood] (2008), Traktory [Tractors] (2020), Dědeček v růžových kalhotách [The Grandad in the Pink Trousers] (2021), Vlaky [Trains] (2023) and Příběhy čtvrtí: Nusle [Neighbourhood Stories: Nusle] (2025). She divides her time between Prague and the countryside.
Her work has been translated into several languages, including English, Korean, German, Polish, Slovenian, and Spanish.
