
Petra Klabouchová (b. 1980) is from Prachatice. She studied Public Relations and Journalism at Masaryk University in Brno and worked in editorial offices of regional newspapers and television stations. She now divides her time between Italy, the United States and Czechia. She works in the music industry and manages rock bands. Klabouchová’s most successful books include the crime thriller Prameny Vltavy [Sources of the Moldau] (2021), the novel U severní zdi [By the North Wall] (2023), and the mystery horror set in the Šumava Mountains Ignis fatuus [Ignis Fatuus] (2024); the latter was nominated for a Magnesia Litera award. Her latest novel Duch Pankráce [The Spirit of Pankrác] (2025) is inspired by genuine notes written in cells of the prison at Pankrác.
