What has changed in literature written in German by Czechs over the past century? What roles have Czech authors writing in German played in German-speaking areas? Do they still play a role today? What forms has Czech literature taken in German milieux past and present? In what ways must Czech authors adapt their work for German readerships and publishers? And what is left of the former natural parallel coexistence of Czech and German elements in contemporary literary culture? And what has remained of the coexistence in parallel of Czech and German cultural elements, which was once taken for granted by all?
