How does Czech literature reach the French-language book market? Representatives of publishing houses that have released or are preparing to release works by Czech authors in French translation will discuss which Czech books have recently appealed to French-speaking readers, and what has informed their choices. The panellists will describe the workings of the Francophone book market and share experiences on how they discovered new voices in Czech literature. The discussion will also address cooperation with translators and the importance for the introduction of Czech books in a French milieu of support for cultural institutions.
