From prehistoric seas to present-day landscapes: Mikuláš Podprocký conceives of Czech history as layer upon layer, beginning at the seabed. His large-format drawing will weave together prehistoric creatures, a mammoth and the Venus of Dolní Věstonice, plus motifs from more recent Czech history. His inspirations include the palaeoart of Zdeněk Burian, whose reconstructions of prehistoric life have fed the imagination of several generations. The work will be created as visitors watch, by a combination of Wall Ink robotic printing and hand-drawn illustration.
