Poetry on the current polycrisis from many angles – not necessarily with a negative connotation: the waning Anthropocene, the breakdown of social structures in late capitalism, the search for post-religious religiosity. Love as solace is no longer enough; little love poetry is being written, although it too has its place here. The experience of a human being who has ceased to be the measure of all things, but who, precisely for that reason, struggles to find a yardstick for orientation – in relation to the system, cosmic forces, the interconnectedness of all living (and perhaps even non-living) beings, and the micro-metaphysics of everyday life. This undermines the subjectivity of the lyrical subject (who is actually acting here?) and destabilizes – and thereby, paradoxically, enriches – the poetic language.
