The exhibition shows that a book doesn’t have to be just “flat paper.” The featured titles incorporate unusual materials such as fabric, sheet metal, optical films, photographs, and found objects, and they interweave illustration with objects, play, and space.
The exhibition is curated by Emma Hanzlíková, with architecture and graphic design by the OKOLO studio. In addition to books, the exhibition also features art objects, toys, book prototypes, short animated films, and a computer game for children.
The exhibition can be visited at the Struwwelpeter Museum in Frankfurt am Main through January 17, 2027.
