Martina Lisa is a literary translator, author and cultural mediator. She translates Czech and Slovak literature into German, reads, writes and publishes books, and designs readings and other forms of presentation for her own and others’ writing. She writes regularly for the Leipzig magazine Kreuzer, where she has worked as a literary editor. She is a member of the Hochroth publishing collective, the German Translators’ Association (VdÜ) and the Netzwerk Lyrik association. In 2023-2025 she was a jury member for the Susanna Roth translation competition for beginner translators from Czech. She lives in Leipzig.
