Ivona Březinová

Ivona Březinová (b. 1964) writes fiction for children and young adults. Her dozens of books range in genre from original fairy tales to adventure stories for older children. Her numerous literary awards include Zlatá stuha [Golden Ribbon] and nomination for the Magnesia Litera; her works have been translated into many languages. Březinová has earned great critical acclaim for her socially engaged stories for older children, in which she addresses topics such as minorities, disability, terminal illness, and mental health problems.

Works translated into: Albanian, Arabic, Armenian, Croatian, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Polish, Romani, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Sorbian, Ukrainian.
