
Lucie Faulerová (b. 1989) is a writer, editor and screenwriter. She studied Czech Language and Literature at Palacký University in Olomouc. Her debut novel Lapači prachu [Dust Collectors] (2017) attracted considerable attention from readers and critics alike and earned her a nomination for the Magnesia Litera for Prose as well as the Jiří Orten Award for authors under 30.
With prominent Czech conceptual artist Kateřina Šedá, Faulerová is co-author of the book BRNOX – Průvodce brněnským Bronxem [BRNOX – A Guide to Brno’s Bronx] (2016); about a socially excluded neighbourhood of Brno, it won the Magnesia Litera for Journalism. Faulerová’s 2020 novel Smrtholka [Deathmaiden] was nominated for the Magnesia Litera for Prose and won the European Union Prize for Literature. As an editor, she contributed to “The National Collection of Bad Habits”, which was nominated for the 2026 Magnesia Litera for Publishing Achievement. Faulerová’s short stories have appeared in several literary magazines and anthologies.
