
Vojtěch Matocha (b. 1989) is a graduate in mathematics. He now develops software for mobile phones. He has enjoyed creative writing since secondary school and been successful in several literary competitions. His book trilogy set in the world of Prašina [Dustzone] (2018, 2019, 2020) became a bestseller and is popular with readers across age groups. Prašina won the Teachers’ Prize for Contribution to Development of Children’s Reading and the Night Sleepers’ Award at the event Night with Andersen. It earned the author nominations for a Magnesia Litera, the Jiří Orten Award, and a Zlatá stuha [Golden Ribbon] award.
