
Mikuláš Podprocký (b. 1978) is originally from Slovakia; he lives and works in Prague. Having graduated from the Free Creativity Studio (3D) at the Technical University of Košice, where he studied under Prof. Juraj Bartusz, from 2002 he worked as a draftsman at various software companies that make computer games; his notable roles include art director of the world-famous game Kingdom Come: Deliverance for Warhorse Studios. He has published two volumes of his own comics, Divočina [Wilderness] (2013) and Divočina II: Exodus [Wilderness II: Exodus] (2018). He has also illustrated books including Čaroděj Zeměmoří [A Wizard of Earthsea] and Conan [Conan]. His most recent book publications are the comics Winton nebyl sám [Winton Wasn’t Alone] (2024) and Těžká rozhodnutí [Tough Decisions] (2025; five stories about resistance), both of which he co-authored with Tereza Verecká. Podprocký is currently working on the original video game ScribeRPG (with his brother) and completing his Divočina [Wilderness] comics trilogy. He is a sport pilot.
