
Daniela Pusch (b. 1978) is a graduate of Russian, Czech and Film Studies from Marburg, Moscow and Brno. She teaches Czech at various educational institutions and translates from Czech into German. Her translations include prose by Alena Zemančíková and Ondřej Hübl and poetry by Jiří Daníček, Sylva Fischerová, Sufian Massalema and Anna Sedlmajerová. Together with Martina Lisá, she has participated in various projects for the publishing of contemporary Czech literature, especially poetry (in collaboration with the magazine Ostragehege and the publishing house edition.fotoTAPETA). In 2014, Daniela Pusch received the Susanna Roth Prize for emerging translators.
