
Kateřina Čupová (b. 1992) graduated from the Animation Studio at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín. She published comics online during her studies, after which she transitioned to print. She has published two full-length comic books, RUR [RUR] (2020) and Hrnečku Vař! [The Porridgeman] (2022), as well as a number of short works in magazines and anthologies. She won Cena Muriel [Muriel Prize] for her story “Kašna” [Fountain] in the AAARGH! anthology. She continues to publish online. She is the author of the webcomic Author’s Apprentice and is currently working on the webcomic Carpathian Nights. Her work experiments with storytelling through comics, blending realistic, diary-like narration with fantastical elements.
