
Kristina Hamplová (b. 1997) comes from a small town near Prague. She teaches at a secondary school, writes about music for various media outlets, organizes protests against coal barons, and hosts the pop culture podcast Hitparáda Eso [The Ace Hit Parade]. Her literary debut Lover/Fighter was nominated for a Magnesia Litera and the Literary Critics’ Award in 2025 and selected as a source text for the Susanna Roth Prize for young translators from Czech.
