
Lubomír Tichý (b. 2003) comes from the small village of Rozběřice in eastern Bohemia. He is a student of Czech and Polish Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. In 2023, he was nominated for the Václav Burian Prize, awarded for contemporary poetry from Central Europe. His first published volume of poetry Místní [Locals] (2024) was nominated for a Magnesia Litera and won the Jiří Orten Award. His journalism on cultural themes and his literary criticism are regularly published in the magazines Host, A2 and Plav. His work typically addresses topics related to a village and a digital environment.
